Meet Kristi Fike!

Kristi has been married for 27 years to her middle school boyfriend. They have 3 kids, 3 granddaughters, 2 dogs of their own, and 6 grand-dogs that keep us busier than they ever thought they would be after their kids married and moved out. She has lived in Texas all her life and says she will stay as long as the good Lord lets her. Kristi joined InterSolutions in July 2023 as an AR Specialist and in February 2024 she was promoted to AR Manager! Kristi notes, “I can’t express how much I appreciate my team; They are truly the best there is!”

We sat down with Kristi to get to know her a bit better, and this is what she had to say:

 

What is something you’ve accomplished at work that you are proud of?

“I think the most rewarding accomplishment here at InterSolutions is the relationship and trust I have in my team. To lead a team to success, they have to trust where you lead them, and I am confident that 2024 is going to be the best yet!”

If you had to pick one, what have you found to be the most vital skill for your job?

“Being able to connect with the customers and develop relationships. Being in the AR world often comes with the idea that we are “mean collectors” but we are actually the bridge between sales and finance. InterSolutions is a customer service-based business, and we have to carry that mindset into our daily tasks.”

What is something you’re passionate about outside of work? What sparked this passion?

“Back in August 2013, we purchased some land in East Texas. This was a long-time dream of ours and I never expected this city girl to turn country so quickly. Our get-a-way farm is literally off a red dirt road in the middle of nowhere. I love the outdoors, riding the four-wheelers to the river, sitting by the fire at night, hunting and sometimes fishing. This has become our family retreat and there is nothing more satisfying than being surrounded by all your family in the peace and quiet of the country.”

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Is there any correlation with your current role?

“I grew up in a family of doctors and nurses, so naturally that is what I wanted to become. Before I made that decision, I wanted to make sure the medical field was for me, so I became an EMT. I absolutely loved it and ended up working in the ER. I had made my mind up – Med school was on my radar, but little did I know, I would be married and have my first kiddo 10 days before my 1^st wedding anniversary…. I am not a Doctor ”

What movie can you watch repeatedly? Why?

“I’m not a huge movie fan but I sure do love  “ The Office”.  I have watched that entire show quite a few times… it just never gets old!”

If you could time travel, which period of time would you go visit? Why?

“Time Travel? If that was a thing, I would go to the future and get some winning lotto numbers!”
