Meet Vickie Espinosa!
Vickie enjoys living in the Bay Area, just a few miles from where she grew up. Vickie and her husband Craig have been blessed to raise two bright, fun-loving daughters while surrounded by the love and support of their parents (They have always said it takes a village). Family and friends are dear to Vickie’s heart, and she says that her career also fuels her. Over the last 20 years, she has enjoyed making connections and friendships in the Multifamily Industry. Vickie joined InterSolutions a little over three years ago as an Account Executive, where she says she has met exceptional mentors, teammates, collaborators, and friends. Vickie has found that she truly enjoys matching great people with great Multifamily companies.
We sat down with Vickie to get to know her a bit better, and this is what she had to say:
What has been the greatest career milestone you’ve experienced so far?
“Reflecting on my career, I find where I am today to be the greatest milestone. Looking back, I’m grateful to have gotten to work with and to know so many incredible people who fill up my life, whether they are mentors, peers, clients, or friends. My career has brought so many exceptional people and experiences into my life.”
What is your daily motivation? At InterSolutions, we’re always encouraging each other to “Get’er done” … What about your daily motivation pushes you to “Get’er Done”?
My daily motivation starts with taking a mental note of what I am grateful for, which allows me to start my day with joy. Then, I add a prioritized to-do list and maybe a quote or an upbeat song. All of these help me stay on task and set me up for a “Get’er done” day. One of my favorite quotes is, “An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory.” This quote motivates me to stop talking about it, and just do it! My current go-to motivational song is “I Feel Good” by Pink Sweats.
What skill would you say is most important in your current role? Why?
Staying present! There are so many things coming at us in a day, and I find that listening and staying present in my conversations and interactions with others allows me to build genuine meaningful connections.
What is your favorite activity you partake in that allows you to maintain a work-life balance?
Choosing one favorite activity is tough because I find that it is a blend of activities that keeps me balanced. Here are some of the activities that help me keep a work-life balance: I like to start my day at the gym, or on a walk to Starbucks with my hubby Craig and Puppy Winston, I love a day in San Francisco visiting my daughters, working on home improvement projects, planting and working in the garden, and of course nothing beats sharing and laughing with friends and family!
What one item would you not be able to live without?
The ocean, if that’s an item. Being near the ocean balances me and reminds me that anything is possible.
If you walked into a room with everyone you’ve ever met in it, who would you look for first? Why?
If I were to enter a room filled with everyone I’ve ever met, my glance would naturally seek out my husband, my parents, and my family, along with my close friends. Each of these individuals holds a special place in my heart!
Thank you, Vickie, for taking the time to share about yourself and for letting us get to know you a bit more!
