Meet Greg Milakovic!
Greg joined Kares Management in July 2016 as a temp recruiter for the light industrial side of the company. He held a few different roles on that side before jumping over to the wonderful InterSolutions side. Since being on the InterSolutions side, Greg has held two roles; he started out as the Talent Acquisition Manager, and he is now a Senior Systems Administrator. Greg was born and raised in South Jersey and spent most of his life in that area until moving down to Orlando about 3 years ago. As much as he misses the South Jersey area, the friends, the weather, and most importantly the food, being in Florida and being able to wear shorts all year round is a game changer for him. Also, Greg gets to golf all year round, so Florida definitely has its perks.
We sat down with Greg to get to know him a bit better, and this is what he had to say:
What made you choose your current job?
The decision was made to decentralize the Talent Acquisition Department (RIP) I was a free agent. After spending some time thinking about the different options available to me, we had just started the process of picking and testing Akken. With my expertise and system knowledge of Avionte, I thought I would be of best service helping test, train, and implement our new system. Getting to work with Anna Hayes, a project manager, and the rest of the Project Management team helped cement the decision.
If you had to pick one word that sums up your current role, what would that word be and why?
Duplicates – We spend a lot of time cleaning up old and new duplicates, contacts and candidates, that are entering Akken. Please check for duplicates!!!
What is your daily motivation?
I just try to be the best version of myself each day. In my current role, I try to make the jobs of my colleagues in all departments as easy and seamless as possible.
What is something on your desk, on a nearby wall, or out a window that cheers you up while you work?
The sun! Living in Florida has its perks, and being able to see the sun each day is awesome. Even on the days it rains we know that in a few minutes that storm will move on and the sun will be back.
If you were to pick one life goal with the guarantee that it will be accomplished in your lifetime, what is that goal and why is it important to you?
One life goal, now you’re getting deep haha, is to support my siblings and family in any way to ensure that they succeed and build the best lives for them and their families. I don’t worry about myself, I’ll be fine, so whatever I can do to help them and others is what it is all about.
If you could pick anything from any time past, present, or future, what event would you want to attend and why?
Although I’ve been blessed to attend my fair share of high-quality sporting events already, it’ll be tough to keep the list short. Obviously, the top of that list is any Championship series/games of my Philadelphia teams. The Masters, Ryder Cup in both Europe and here in America, Eric Church playing at Red Rocks, College World Series in Omaha, and the Final Four/National Championship game of March Madness. I’m sure there are more but I won’t bore you all with the rest, haha.
Thank you, Greg, for taking the time to share about yourself and for letting us get to know you a bit more!
