Employee Spotlight: Meet Deanna Sampson

Each year, InterSolutions chooses an Employee of the Year who upholds our core values and goes above and beyond in their position. The 2022 Employee of the Year was our Centralized Services Project Manager, Deanna Sampson.

Deanna began her career with InterSolutions in 2014 and was quickly promoted to a management position where she has excelled ever since. We decided to sit down with Deanna to get to know her a little better, and here is what she had to say:

What do you like about your position?

My position keeps me on my toes. Every day I learn something new and am faced with new challenges.

What career advice would you provide someone who is just beginning their career?

I would say that it’s ok to make mistakes, what matters is what you do next.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever gotten?

While this wasn’t direct advice and not the best role model, BUT I do like “If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change.”

If you could meet any famous person, who would it be and why?

Chris Evans, but in character as Captain America.

If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?

I would be a Dalmatian. They are pegged as helping in emergencies, and they are loyal to their family and overly energetic.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?

I would love to visit the Galápagos Islands. Besides being gorgeous, it has species that you can’t find anywhere else in the world. I grew up wanting to hit all of the places in the Beach Boys song “Kokomo,” but I think I’ve about hit my limit there.

Thank you, Deanna, for taking the time to sit and chat! We are so thankful to have you on Team InterSolutions!
